Billikens Announce New Head Coach

ST. LOUIS, MO – Billikens have announced the promotion to head coach of previous assistant coach Jeffrey Woodside. Coach Woodside, known as Woodie to his players, has taken over the helm for the 2018 season. Coach Woodside is enthusiastic for the opportunity to transfer his success from high school coaching to college coaching.
Woodside grew up playing lacrosse in Central New York. He has brought over 25 years of playing experience to the Mid-West and found a home here at SLU. Woodside’s playing career includes stints on many different semi-professional teams most recently, he played alongside previous SLU coaches Brandon Knox and Tom Schmidt with the St. Louis Centurions of the BLL Indoor League.
Woodside, with 11 years coaching experience, was offensive coordinator at SLU for the 2016-2017 season and helped the team reach a respectable record of 5-6. Previously, he coached youth in the now defunct Brine Upstate Lacrosse League in Syracuse, New York. He then graduated to the high school ranks here in St. Louis atFt. Zumwalt High School in St. Charles, MO and Parkway South High School in Ballwin, MO.
